The Challenge: An Irregularly Shaped Backyard
When Leti and Kenji, founders of Semi-Retired MD, approached me with their luxury short-term rental, they had a clear vision: create an inviting and functional outdoor space that would complement their high-end property and cater to discerning guests. The Solution: Smart Design for Maximum Impact

A Cozy Fire Pit Area – Ideal for chilly evenings, the fire pit serves as a central gathering spot, adding ambiance and warmth to the outdoor space.
A Shaded Conversation Nook – Designed for morning coffee or evening cocktails, this area provides guests with a comfortable place to unwind away from the Texas sun.
Pool Loungers & Ledge Seating – We incorporated ample lounge space at both the pool’s entrance and its sun ledge, ensuring guests could relax in style.
Seamless Flow & Functionality – Every element was positioned to enhance movement within the space, creating an effortless flow between lounging, dining, and social areas.
